"Heritage Meets the Future," the international conference dedicated to reflecting on the perception, use and care of the historical, architectural and landscape heritage of the city of Bologna, will be held May 17-18 in Bologna.
The conference celebrates the recognition of the Portici di Bologna as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and aims to initiate a discussion on the need to protect the historic urban landscape and question the role of UNESCO sites. The goal is to identify common strategies to preserve city heritages from the impact of challenges such as climate change or catastrophic events such as wars, but also ways to protect and enhance them in everyday life, promoting a sense of community and the active participation of citizenship in taking care of their heritage.
